When I got the call from Corendon to help them with their knowledge of the Belgian market I didn’t hesitate. This was a great opportunity for me to learn more about the travel industry. Here we worked with a local agency Fairetale for the Adwords campaigns. Their goal was to get a bigger brand awareness in Belgium and to be seen as a real Belgium player seeing as their Belgium office started at the same time than the office in the Netherlands.

My job here was:

  • Marketing responsible for the BE site
  • Responsible for the email marketing
  • Responsible for the social media marketing
  • Starting big promotions
  • Review traditional marketing(TV/Radio)
  • Check all communication to the BE market
  • Make the website userfriendly
  • Check the website for Seo updates

This was a project of 1 year and 2 months where I had a great time. I had a lot of responsibility’s but I could also start the promotions I wanted.

For example, their Sponsorship contracts didn’t get a lot of attention in the past. So I started a promotion to involve clubs in our traditional / online marketing plan. This was such a success that they gathered a lot of new email addresses, customers and an active group of new Facebook followers. The people who joined this promotion are already making plans in how they can help us next year and are already promoting Corendon before their new action is going to start.

I hope to work again with them in the future as I think they have a bright future ahead of them and there are many things they can do to improve targets.
